Privacy Policy
This page describes how Pitogram handles information when you use the extension with linked Google accounts and backend-powered Sheets and AI features.
Privacy Policy
Pitogram is a Chrome extension that provides an AI assistant side panel for Google Sheets. The extension uses Pitogram services for linked Google account management and backend Sheets and AI operations.
Information processed
- Extension-local data: the extension may store local settings in Chrome storage, such as provider and model preferences, selected linked account, default spreadsheet ID, and similar account-scoped preferences.
- Pitogram account and session data: when you sign in, a Pitogram-authenticated session is established through a handoff flow and used for authorized API requests.
- Linked Google account profile data: linked account metadata, including email, display name, avatar, and provider account identifier, is used so you can select which linked account performs Sheets operations.
- Google Sheets content: spreadsheet operations you request, such as reading and writing cells, listing files, managing sheets, or formatting, are sent through Pitogram API to Google services on your behalf.
- AI request content: messages, tool payloads, and model options may be processed by the backend AI route and configured model provider to generate responses.
How data is used
- Authenticate users and maintain extension session state.
- Link, list, and manage Google accounts connected to your profile.
- Execute requested spreadsheet actions through authorized backend routes.
- Generate AI responses and tool actions for requested workflows.
- Operate, secure, and improve extension reliability.
Storage and security model
Pitogram stores certain configuration values locally in Chrome extension storage. Pitogram services persist account and session-related records required for authentication and linked-account features. Sensitive provider tokens used for linked Google accounts are stored server-side in encrypted form.
Session access to protected API routes is controlled through authenticated cookies and backend authorization checks. Reasonable safeguards are applied, but no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed fully secure.
Third-party services
Depending on your usage, data may be processed by:
- Pitogram API infrastructure and database services.
- Google services, including OAuth, account info, Sheets, and Drive APIs.
- AI model providers used through backend AI routes.
Your use of those services is subject to their own policies and terms.
Data sharing and sale
Personal information is not sold. Data is shared with service providers only as needed to deliver core functionality that you request.
Extension permissions and network access
- `storage` to store local extension preferences.
- `sidePanel` to render the assistant side panel UI.
- Host access: Pitogram API endpoints and model provider endpoints needed for authenticated backend operations.
Your choices
- You can sign out and stop using connected services at any time.
- You can unlink Google accounts from within extension account settings.
- You can clear local extension data by removing the extension or clearing its storage.
Children's privacy
The service is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children.
